map magazine launches with new look for 2007

Conscience, Design: map magazine launches with new look for 2007

Make sure you look out for map magazine’s first issue for 2007 – due to hit the letterboxes and streets tomorrow. We have an incredibly exciting year ahead and one I am looking forward to with much excitement. I recently received this email from a reader… “Can map magazine be more? Do more, say more, achieve more? I challenge you Carl Lindgren, for 2007 to make an even bigger impact in the lives of your readership. Including me.” I thought this was incredibly courageous and inspirational. This challenge is something we have constantly striven for at map and will continue to do. So, I am pleased to announce that for the first time in eight years map magazine will trial a new 85gsm silky smooth paper stock. Eight years ago map pioneered the launch of the free monthly-format magazine in Brisbane. map entered the market to cater for the inner-city urban reader looking for inspiration. At the time, map magazine was the first in Australia to do this in a ‘true monthly’ format with 30,000 copies targeting inner-city residents via letterbox and street delivery. We are pleased to say with 2,500,000 copies later and thousands of local, national and international inspirational success stories, we are looking forward to hopefully inspiring you some more. So in the pursuit of pushing the boundaries of what media can be… I am proud to announce the launch of the map village street editors – the map village’s new online independent news community, dedicated to delivering you comprehensive coverage of the latest creative offerings in Brisbane and around the globe. You can access the map village street editors via themapvillage.com.au or have our RSS feeds delivered directly to your web browser daily. I hope you enjoy our new additions and the team looks forward to delivering above and beyond your expectations for 2007.

    WOW…
love the cover…..seriously can’t wait to see the new version of map. reading inspirational stories goes without saying though. brisbane is truly lucky to have such a professional and inspiring publication like map. it’s what so many cities and towns lack. and as brisbane grows, map will no doubt continue to showcase the creative pulse of our city.
Thanks Carl, Tina, Wendy and team.
your faithful readers appreciate your dedication to positive media.
