I personally like to use fans and seal up my house the best way I can. I always hate it when there are air leaks that costs you money

Nice article. Very inspiring read.

It is easy to get lost in the 'problem' of saving the world. What a pleasure to read about the change rather than the chore.

The sustainability 'mind shift' is progressing faster than anyone could have predicted. The world is redefining it's values, and like drawing in a breath of fresh spring air, reading about the projects above is invigorating. They reflect the change in psych that is occurring in the world. In our personal world, in our home world, in our social world and most inspiring in the business world.

It is no longer about moving people emotively to change one by one. It is time to change the system that the individual exist in.

Wow Josh - what a story. The names of these people are not well-known, yet look what they're doing to 'guard' the essence of our planet. Sounds like projects that would be inspiring to be involved in. Is there a new type of philanthropy emerging do you think?

Apologies Robby. www.onepercentfortheplanet.org I believe the site needs a make-over, but the premise is outstanding. Businesses pledge to donate 1% of revenue - not profit - to environmental organisations of their choice. Thought of like 'an environmental tax', it is in acknowledgment of the fact that your company's operations, exacts a toll on the environment, that is otherwise not compensated. I believe it is a fundamental necessity that all businesses should commit to, as soon as they are fiscally able to. In 2005, 211 members gave $2.8m. In 2006, 500 members gave $6m. What was Rupert Murdoch's annual income again? $38.8m?
