Behind the kind and cheeky smile of jazz legend James Morrison lies sheer determination and incredible talent. As the rich and hearty sound of his trumpet hits your ears and a walking bass line pulses through your body, you can’t help but succumb to the vitality of his soulful music. Never limiting himself, and always keen to explore, James will feature in a production of Boundary Street, playing his own compositions. Boundary Street takes the audience through a story about friendships, passion and injustice. Set in West End in 1942, the show explores Brisbane’s not-so-distant wartime past where blossoming friendships are challenged by harsh and violent racism. This swinging wartime story will show as part of Brisbane Festival from September 12−15.
